It doesn't matter how well you planned your vacation, your period can catch you off guard. Here are our top tips so that no matter what happens, you'll still have a bloody good time.
7 Period Travel Essentials to Pack
1. Disposable pads and tampons

2. Liners
Always great at the end of your period, joni liners can also be used to keep you feeling dry en route. Breathable and soft, your vulva can travel first class even if you're traveling in economy.

Changes altitude can affect periods! Packing wipes in your bag is an easy fix for messy situatiuons. Look for wipes that are free from irritants, such as fragrances.
4. Hand Sanitizer
Wash your hands before and after handling your period products. Having hand sanitizer on hand is a good safe guard in case the bathroom is out of soap.
5. Keep Comfortable
Wear stretchy clothes on travel days, especially long haul flights to combat bloating. Bring extra underwear and spare bottoms in case of period leaks.
6. Nourishment
When you're travelling, it's important that you stay well hydrated. This is especially true when you're on your period. Drink lots of water! You'll reduce bloating and fatigue as well. Nourishing snacks are also imporrant; iron- and magnesium-rich foods will fill you up while replenishing nutrients lost during your flow. Think nuts, seeds, and dried fruit.
7. Pain Management
Got cramps? Get soothing. Pack some ibuprofin or acetiminophen, essential oils like peppermint and lavender, and portable, adhesive heat packs.
Embrace Your Period
It's perfectly normal if you don't love travelling on your period. The upside is that it's the perfect excuse to kickback and take it easy. Try to carve out time to show your body some self-care and love.
